Tower Of Hope - Museum For Human Rights - Winnipeg

Description

I've always wondered what the purpose of this tower is. Its part of the new Museum For Human Rights in Winnipeg that's still under construction.

See the building here  And a video of the Tower of Hope here www.winnipegfreepress.com/mult…
Also a little info about the museum and the tower here en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Canadian…

I understand this is the "Tower of Hope" and it has meaning but its always looked to me like it has moving parts.
Possibly these parts all fold down. Dunno

Anyway I will soon find out since the museum is set to open September 20th 2014.

Does anyone care to hazard a guess?

Since its a 6 picture panorama the original image is 4791x10,887 pixels so a bit too big for most people to handle but I wanted to keep it pretty high res so I only sized down to 2,000 x 4545 px so people can get a good view. And maybe guess what it does.

Click "Download" on the right to enlarge to 2,000px high. :)

Possibly solar panels. I believe its also some type of lookout so may have something to do with that.

So futuristic like the human rights in the reality always are.
