Its seems a bit noisy. But another shot at it with you tripod will allow you not to use a high ISO. Some cameras can handle that...but I don't know about the rebel.

Yes that's the trouble. Always a lighting problem for me indoors. Anything above 1600 is grainy so it will help a lot with a tripod. I'm pretty excited. I never got an opportunity like this so it will be fun and a learning experience too :D
